Couldnt you get better sharper pictures?
Its hard to tell 100% from the pictures that you have post.
It look like it have been "repainted" but i could be wrong.

Its not a 100% clear but you have to see the details.

Hi guys,
In my opinion, this is a cast fake of an f.o. U-boat Badge. The red arrow indicates a clever attempt at removing the maker marking flaw common to most f.o. fakes. Also, the base material does not look like zinc and the finish and wear looks phony. Looking at the reverse, the sunken areas to the center of the U-boat and on the wreath, directly below the keel are probably the result of material shrinkage as the casting cooled.
