      In my opinion, a 100% authentic Mayer tombak U-boat badge. Your camera flash makes the reverse finish look different, but it is OK under normal lighting I am sure.

      No matter, it is a period badge.

            yes, definitely a mayer, that flat topped hook is quite distinctive, i have one, also unmarked, i wonder if they all were???

                Hi,

                It appears to be an original in very nice condition. A reverse pic with the pin down would be useful - to see the shape of the main pin. I don't recall seeing a Mayer with this type of block hinge before.
