    U Boat Badge Opinions Please

I would like opinions on this U Boat badge. It is marked REICH on the back and is 1 7/8 inch wide.

      Hello Wade,

Sorry, but that one is not real. Looks like a crudely cast fake. There was no U-boat Badge maker by the name of "REICH." Catch and hinge are giveaways too.

      Best regards,
      Tom

Yes, a crude cast fake. Soft looking, thin, incorrect hardware, fantasy maker mark. As wrong as you can get.

          Regards

Evaluate the item, not the story and not the seller's reputation!

If you PM/contact me without the courtesy of using your first name, please don't be offended if I politely ignore you!

Whenever you see these with REICH markings they are bad (as if you could not tell anyway). I am not sure if the company is still around, but a company out of St. Louis sold them and a lot of other fake badges, but they sold them as fakes...I think they marked them that way so people could tell...back in the 70's. I bought a few when I was a kid and got bored and ended up bending them and breaking them.
