    I think its ok but some expert advice would be good

        Looks to me like an authentic badge thats had the pin and hinge changed. Pin and hinge seem to have come from a zinc badge and the badge you show is a buntmetal one.
        Doesn´t really fit and repaired badges are always difficult. The price would have to be right.

              I'd say it looks like a period replacement on the hinge and pin because of the worn condition to the pin. If you like period originals with 'character', it's nice. But if you like 'textbook' originals, this is not one.

                Yes I like my badges 'salty' and I thought that the price was alright for this badge so I got it.

                there is something nice about textbook badges but at the end of the day I always prefer something with that 'been there' look to it.
