My opinion with regards to the badge being 100 percent original also remains unchanged, I am however not certain that the maker is Deschler and I have modified my description to reflect that...I was basing that on information I had obtained from an old thread on this very forum into which the great Frank H---long since on a hiatus from the forum had contributed--

...the pin is similar and especially the hinge and the way the pin attaches to the hinge as well as the construction of the hinge to that used by Deschler and Mayer on their EK1's.

On another forum, Gordon Williamson (author of Torpedo Los) has stated that based on the new photos, it appears to be a period piece, although the link to a particular maker is not established. John
