unknown KM sidecap emblem Minesweeper or Sperrbrecher?

This KM sidecap emblem is new in my collect!!!

I think that it's a sidecap emblem for a Minesweeper or a Sperrbrecher.
Do you have more information on this emblem?
Do you know the name or the number of the KM ship wich used this emblem?

    Emblem size: 34mm x 25mm

    Regards
    Ben

    Hi Ben,

I can't help with a specific ship as there were MANY minesweeper vessels and not much is known about them. I do agree that the motif points to a Minesweeper affiliation. I also think this has all the characteristics of a period badge though. It would make a very nice addition to any KM collection!

Evaluate the item, not the story and not the seller's reputation!

If you PM/contact me without the courtesy of using your first name, please don't be offended if I politely ignore you!

      Hi Ben,

That is an original wartime Minensucher Flottille side-cap emblem.
There was also a version made only in brass.

Sorry to say that I don't know the Flottille number.

It could also be to a Raumboot flottille, the 21 R-flottille included in it's emblem a mine cable being cut by a hand holding a sword.

The closest i can get is the 3 MS flottille which is recorded as having a lobster cutting a mine cable.
