    HSFB Schwerin

    Hello
I am thinking about trading for this badge and I would like another opinion on it. I believe that it is similar to Badge C in Mike Kenny's article.

    thanks for the help

      Hi Ilse,

Nothing wrong with that badge - a very nice original with a weak/absent 5th window.

          Mike,
Was the cause of the window issue a die flaw in the casting process?

Casting? No. Imo they were die struck and the weak 5th window is the result of die wear/damage (imo subsequently repaired).

              Mike.

Right. Struck. That's what I had intended to write but brain-farted on it. Die flaw from wear. As I suspected. Do you have any idea on how many (roughly) were produced with this specific flaw?

Consquently, what a wonderful looking piece.
