    Hi Guys,

As promised here she is. She's even more beautifull in reality than on pictures. So beautifull that in fact this badge scares me. For sure it's not made of low quality zink, at least it would have to be some kind of Feinzink, whatever that may be.

The quality of the finish is somethng I have never seen on a zink badge, its exeptionaly good and very smooth if you run your finger over it. The quality of the finish on my Buntmetall P/O badge falls short of this.

So I realy would appreciate your honest opion on this badge based upon some additional scan I'll post. I think my question stays the same, Is this possible or is this a realy high end copie?

    Thanks in advance
    KR
    Philippe

And here are two additional scans of the catch.

I have noticed that on George's badge the catch is clearly sitting in a recessed area. Since on mine there is only a blob of solder visible It's impossible to tell if there is such an area underneath. Besides that the catch on my badge is completely different from the one on George's badge

George is your hinge also in a recessed area that's something I can't see on your pictures?

The weight of my badge is 27 grams, I'll take exact measurements tonight.

Yes, the hinge is in a recessed (and corroded! ) area.

                                Hi Philippe,
the catch scares me-haven't seen one like it on an f.o.,and might it show signs of refinish? The mm looks good, right down to the weakness in the "o".Perhaps an original badge with some enhancements?
