I have just received a pm saying they beleive the badge to be a copy, i would appreciate other members thoughts on this.

I would tend to a copy, too. Please post it for discussion in the Kriegsmarine Badges Forum because discussions are not allowed on the e-stand i think.Comment

I agree--known "Cyclops" fake, but this should be taken out of the estand and discussed in the KM forum.

On gubroker there was an identical one up for auction. If I recall, the seller had listed it as a repro. I can't be sure. Either way, it didn't receive any movement.Comment

Sorry for the bad news William, but I can only agree with the others. To top it off, the off-kilter swas makes it look like the swas has been replaced as well. Would need to see a pic with the pin up though.
