    Opinions about U-boot badge

    Hello ,

first I want to say that your forum is really one of the best you
can find on the net. I think you doesnt find more experts than here.
So I decided to register, and here is my first "I need help" post.

I would like to know your opinion about this U-boot ???

I am no expert, but I think the badge is absolutly ok and from
    schwerin berlin.

I got this badge with a soldbuch and some photos
from the relatives of the soldier, the pieces were in a box
since the man died 1961 they told me. There is no entry about
the U-boot Kriegsabzeichen in the soldbuch, but there is a nice story behind it.

You've got a STUNNING unmarked SCHWERIN badge that is totally original. Congratulations!

A very nice example of an early Schwerin U-boat badge. I bet the head of the hinge pin has a cross hatch effect.

      Congrats,

Great badge!! It looks like you have the "cross-hatched" hinge pin .
Very desirable, IMO. Also notice the dark , oval solder patch around the
        catch...textbook Schwerin.

PS...I resized your pictures and reposted them so they wouldn'd spread all over the screen. Unfortunately I am only getting a "link". Can you copy these resized pictures and repost them to your webpage, then repost them to your thread?

        Thanks...LB

          I solved the problem.

Thanks a lot for your answers, they really mean a lot to me.

A very great find, if you think the badge was already on the
          way into the rubbish.

          regards
