    Hi,
    as a uboat collector i will try to ask some of your questions. There is nothing strange about the fact that there are several nice uboat groups/items for sale. When a uboat was declared MIA or sunk the sailors belongings were packed and shiped to their next of kind. The Wehrpass was in most cases also sent tp the next in kind as a memory of their fallen relative.
    Abord the uboat they seldom brought with them paper items, for obvious reasons, but kept them in harbour.

    It is nothing strange that it says 18th july as KIA date in the wehrpass, the uboat staff had big problems in getting to know exactly why and when uboats were sunk. In many cases the boats was just declared MIA, case unknown.

    The group at Janssen seems nice originals to me allthough the pictures could be better. I have a book about the U-751, "Triumph und Tragödie eines deutsches U-bootes". In the book there are pictures of all crewmembers, among them the exakt same photo of Hugo Grimm as for sale at Janssen.
