U-boat badge Foerster & Barth ??

Hi all,
I have an opportunity to pick up this Sub badge, from what I have been able to research here on the forums and a few books, it looks ok except I am not familiar with the hinge, pin and catch, can anyone shed some light on this badge.. Thanks for any help.

looks like a good Foerster & Barth badge,unmarked.The catch appears to be a little large but it also looks original to the badge and not a replacement.
