My U-Boat badge, is it Hyman maker?

I picked up this unmarked u-boat badge a year or so ago and have toiled over what manufacturrer it might be attributed to. I've compared mine to others posted on our site as well as Gordons, and have had difficulty saying for sure what manufac type this could be - seems to have attributes of several makers

The swatiska has been repaired (and priced accordingly) as I was told from the seller, and on the reverse, you can see some identation due to what looks like plier marks possible due to the repair.

Having looked through examples of known manufacturers, I think that this example may be attributed to Hyman(?).

I would appreciate any help from forum members on this. If my badge is not Hyman type, I suppose it mayf all into the category of unknow maker(?).

It's not a Hymmen, you can clearly see the rudder and prop on yours. Can you take a more clear plan view shot of the badge.

It is not a Hymenn. For any possible chance of identifying what it might be though, much better images, straight on front and back is necessary.

Hi Al, the new images show the badge to be of a Juncker design. Whether or not the badge is an original Juncker or a fake of the Juncker is hard to tell from these pictures. At first look I thought it was original, now I'm not sure. The eagle's body and feet lack a lot of definition. here is one to compare. best wishes,

It is a Juncker design. I would tend to believe it is an original example but has been well worn, either by a lot of normal wear or perhaps somebody tried to clean it up a bit someplace along the line--or just the flash on the photos you took.

Jeff, could you post the reverse of that badge? John
