Submarine Badge for opinions

I bought this from a family said they acquired this badge from a Veteran. Please tell me what you think about this Submarine badge. It's marked "F.O" and a circle in the bottom. Is it or ...... ?

OMG, it's just my luck to get this one right since I've got no knowledge of the high sea badge and this badge. I feel like a risky gambler

I know it is hard to resist when you first start but try not to gamble, do the research first as best as you can to reduce the "odds" of ending up with a load of junk

The badge looks like OK but maybe suffered from zinc pest .
