    U-boat badge opinions please.

Bought this one today. I can only find a small marking which looks like a U. It is placed at the bottom of the back side under the pin. I tried to take a picture of it but they all failed (or I have to stop drinking ).

This was the best picture I could get of the small mark.

Looks like a zink U-boat badge by Wiedmann (aka Wernstein) with some heavy corrosion/pitting to the reverse. The swastika looks a little strange, but it's an original badge IMO.
      Regards,
      Brian

A Wiedmann original. However, to know more about this badge, search for Wernstein submarine badge. John

Thank you gentlemen for your comments. I will certainly look for the Wernstein sub badge. Thanks again.

An Original Wernstein and with a good amount of finish too , solder over the mm is typical for this maker. All the best
