They probably had more than one (1) tool for striking the maker mark. Perhaps the one used on your badge was done with a broken marker tool.
Everything is as expected from an original badge. Hardware is as expected from this maker. Details are crisp and finish is of good quality. Patina is as expected from an old warbadge. I see no signs of any inferior production techniques used as expected from fakes or any attempts of tampering.
