      Hi Michel

      Why do you think this is a Zimmermann badge and are you refering to Zimmermann Stuttgart or Pforzheim?

      I Just did some looking arround and can't find any reference relating either of these two companies to U-Boat badges.

        Hello Philippe,

        I think that it's a Zimmermann because I have in my collection a L/52 U-Boot badge, the face is the same only the pin is different.

                  Hi Michel,

                  Thanks a lot for the pics Michel. And I think your absoluty right in your assessment of the first badge that cleary shows the same features.

                  Based upon this information I can add an other "erratum" to F. Tucker's book. There L/52 is only listed as a maker of Wound Badges.

                  If a can continue this rate of additional information I probably will arrive at the best reference book for Heer & Marine Badges. I'll let everybody now when I arrive at the end of my quest.
