    Minesweeper catch

    Gents,

Here is a pic of a Flak catch. I remember there is a minesweeper with an identical catch. Do other KM awards use this and has the maker been identified?
    Thanks,
    Marc

If you have a minesweeper with this catch please post it!

Marc, the catch on my Deumer Minensucher is similar. I'll see if I can take a photo in daylight tomorrow.

        catches

I checked my minesweeper catches and I've shown some pictures below. The L/11 Deumer is closest though the GWL destroyer has a neat resemblance. The one marked 'ms.Deumer' is actually an unmarked minesweeper with the horizontal pin which have been matched with a marked one (L/11) on this thread:

The other two minesweepers that are marked L/11 are the vertical pin variant.

Great shots! Thanks. I am working under the assumption that the Flak is a FLL. The Ludenscheid makers certainly used this "type" of catch, but this maker also used the round wire catch on their Flaks. Not sure if I have a 100% match to Linden yet and so looking to other war badges.

Thanks, and the FLL CCCs also have a round wire catch. I am just looking to see if this particular type of flat wire catch is the same...nice finish on the CCC!

uncanny...that's just like the 1st pattern FLL CCC wire catch.

so basically you see the same catch development in the CCC and on the flak. nice!

as for the CCC picture; it is not mine...the photo is actually linked to a thread by RobertE on the WAF.

                        Marc,

You already have my PICS of the catches over at GCA's forum; was very interested when you posted this shot and wanted to add one for you to really think about!!

Yes, the "problem" with us all living in multiple fora! Anyway, it can't be GWL. Totally different design.

                            Hi Marc,

Agree in this case, but what are your thoughts about this type of catch being shared between Ludensheid manufacturers though? In your travels, have you seen this one elsewhere? I have not.

Not yet, though anything is possible. I have been combing through all my reference books and websites, etc looking at Ludenscheid makers. I think FLL is a pretty good bet for the one though. Certainty is not possible though. Yet.
