From the reverse it looks like a good Foerster & Barth badge.Pin is typical of that maker.

I say good also. The reverse setup looks very much like the setup on my unmarked coastal artillery, here is a pic for comparison. The hinge base on your badge is more square, while mine is more rounded. I still think they are from the same maker.

As Martin has already mentioned, the hardware is the same as F & B used. The obverse design is the same as the other marked F & B badges I have on file. Interesting to note the lack of finishing between the eagles head and his wings; leaving that excess metal in there does make it look a bit shabby. Probably a sign of the times really, if this was a laste war badge then perhaps this was the case.
