    My Apologies...!

Mark: I had no intention on stepping on anyone's toes, nor forcing into conclusions without facts. I have altered my phrasing to "badges in question" instead, and as I stated, I have only personally handled one of the "sloppy" ones myself. I am open to this kind of discussion, as this is all in the interest of research progress...
    Best Regards,
    Mikael

      No apologies necessary!

I didnt mean to sound so defensive, but I feel that that this topic could be explored a little more thoroughly.

For instance, in the above composition of badges there is one that is different than the others, I am not even sure if is an Aurich badge at all. The one on the right..you sure about this one being an Aurich?

        Hi Mark,
Well, the pic of that particular badge was at least filed together with the green pebbled background-reverse, as being an Aurich. Could it be a matter of photographic angle...?
        Cheers,

          Oh, by the way...

The badge with a covered symbol, and to which the numbered arrows point, was for sale by our German friend www.ww-collection.de some years ago. But he sells genuine badges too, so that is no reason to rule out that specific badge as a copy.
Frank, do you have any inputs in this matter...?

            Hi Mikael

No, it isnt camera angle. Look at the rivets up the side of the gun base, on the Aurich badges the rivets are right along the right edge, on the other one, they are inset quite a bit. The receiver of the gun is markedly different, as is other details. Even the eagle head is different.

Probably a case of mixmatched obverse and reverse pictures.

              Sorry for the mixup...

One of the pics was, as Mark noted, not showing an Aurich badge...! I have attached a comparison picture, using Lorenzo's beauty as a benchmark (if it's ok, as I hope...?). The riveting is certainly not the same! I found the correct green-pebbled-background Aurich, and changed the pic in my posting above. Sorry for causing disturbance...

I havenĀ“t watched him sell Aurich Heer Flak Badges in numbers, my guess is if he ever sold a Heer Flak by Aurich, it was real.

                Cheers, Frank
