    French-Made Destroyer Badge

I finally have a destroyer badge!

It is a nice French-made destroyer badge that I got from member Lexy/Alex from Belgium.

Some of you may remember from Alexs' thread on this badge, that others felt that it had been painted or refinished. Yes it had been spray painted, which I immediately removed. It shows nice silvering on the ship, but unfortunately there are only minute traces of gold on the wreath remaining.

I will be sending this to Jimmy (aka Dr Love) for a replacement hinge & pin (in the French style) very soon.

Hi Guys...the French Destroyer is actually one of the tougher in the French series to get.

I have one for sale at a reasonable price ....if anybody wants it you can PM me (shameless plug).

It took me years to get one, I feel that the French Destroyers are well under-appreciated and a key to the French series. I have actually come across about 8 First Pattern French E-boats and only one destroyer.

      Cheers!

      John
