Anyway there are some very nice badges shown here, being a Luft collector at heart I really like the FLL 37 cap eagle shown by Scott. Another thing I find interesting is the catches on the badges posted by Mark and myself----I call them "sunken" catches(soldered into a notch). These are very close to the catch on my B&NL para, and not a style I have seen often.
    Regards, Brian

PS---thanks Mark for the info on the 43 marking, makes sense that 1 die would last a few years at least

Hi Brian, very nice badge ... I also have an FLL Coastal Artillery Badge and it is 43 marked. Cannot help with the K mark I am afraid...not seen it with that before...Cheers, Torsten.

the 43 on the FLL badges is the year the die for that badge was produced. Still no idea as to what the stamped K represents.

          Cheers,

I have just checked in the Tucker/Privitera combat badges book and they do indeed say the same about the 43 being the year that the die was manufactured...there is no mention there of any other possible markings. Cheers, Torsten.
