Hi Victor,

Once again, I think the lack of replies is for two reasons: First, these emblems are so very hard to identify. I wish I had my reference books with me right now, but I do not, but I am assuming you are correct in its identification.

If so, my thought is that it is fine, in other words, how can you disprove that this is not an original item?

What about the rest of the cap? Is it OK? I would like to see the entire cap and if it has any stamps inside. I know that you are very experienced with cloth items, so is it safe to assume you think the cap is original?

Have you posted the cap in the headgear forum?

Any other information you can tell us about the cap and pin, is there any doubt from you about its authenticity.

I will search for my reference book as soon as possible to try to help, but maybe you can give us some more information on both the cap and pin.

Second, it seems the collectors that might know the answer to your question are silent on this. Not sure why but I wish they would come forward with an opinion.

Yes, cap is original...but as you say there is a lack of examples for compare he emblems.
I like the rude aspect of the emblem and also that is rudely sewn but I have not references of other original to compare.

I guess that John has said it all. VERY hard to tell unless you for some reason KNOW that, this or that badge really is a fake or really is a wartime original.
I guess with these – very often – low quality made badges, you always take a risk.
However, in this very case and bearing in mind it´s only a picture, I think that it looks OK.
