    S&L Minesweeper

Notions pertain to perhaps with this set up we can call this an S&L minesweeper. The more conversed had better comment on that.

Not the most pretty badge, I think it will need some vaseline in spots !!!

I can only find two on the forum, does anyone else own on of these ?

Notice next to the hinge there is a dimple or 'dot', I've encountered this before also on an S&L KVK without swords. I'm not sure if I can see this on the other two ?

    Your thoughts please.

    Kr

See, I told you it was tatty Graeme.

The gold finish is all over on mine where as the other two, it appears to just be on the obverse.

Catch, I can;t get a good shot of this. The catch has been knocked and you can see it's a little distressed, so I'll leave it be.

                Hi Marcus

Nice example, not as tatty as we were led to believe, more finish than mine.

Once you have given it the old vas treatment it should scrub up really well .

                congrats

Awesome badge Marcus, is that a punch mark of some sort?

                    Hi guys,

Thanks for the comments trust me it is tatty though.

Greg, the 'dot' is raised not incuse like a punch mark, some S&L KVK's seem to have it others more so, not.

The dot's appear to be the same size and shape roughly, I'll scan both and pop them next to each other (later)

I know it's a small nothing little dot and there's probably nothing in it, but I'm sure it's there for a reason

                    Any idea's ?

I think it makes a nice, tough to find variation in your collection. Congratulations on your new treasure.
