    Minesweeper for review

    Hi Guys

Picked this one up recently. Set up looks like S&L. Is the maker of this badge known?

Also the finish appears to have a coating like varnish. Is this likely to have been applied post war or were some badges finished this way?

    all comments welcome

    regards
    Graeme

            Cool badge!

I can't place the pin... who is the maker? FO?

              I am assuming S&L.

Page 176 of Franks GAB book shows an E-Boat by S&L with what looks to me to be the exact same reverse set up. I don't believe that this type of hinge is used on many other makers, if any..

              regards

First time I see that setup on a minesweeper. Nice find Graeme.

I think, going on what we know today, you can safely assume its an S&L.

For me it is nice to have the less common badges or variants.

It would have been great to have found the little round S&L mark on it....but you can't have everything..

                    regards
