    U-Boot Badge Help

Please, who made the u-boot badge at the top of the Wehrmacht pages written by Jamie Cross? I have a chance to buy one but I don't know who made this one or what to pay...

    Unknown top badge!

It's a French made badge attributed to Baqueville.

Oh boy, what is the final word on these? Did they produce and award these? Thanks.

            Final word??? Surely you jest!!

These badges have been the topic of numerous discussions on the forum. I suggest you go to the "Search" function and input "Bacqueville" or "French sub" and read the numerous postings.

There are many opinions. Good luck!

PS...I own one and I believe it to be an original war-time badge.
            Was it ever issued? Dunno!

I was jesting... But thought who knows, maybe a handful would believe. Thanks for the input. Thanks Bill for the pricing that helps a lot as the price offered here in town is reasonable.

Bill´s price cannot be quoted as a nowadays price for these. If you read carefully, Bill says "I paid 250 USD for mine". He doesn´t say WHEN. These are much more expensive by now.

Thanks. Even more info. I've got a lead on one for two hundred so I'll pounce on it.

Looks like a real nice textbook example, Brian. I'd say for $200 you got a real good deal.

I deserve a deal every now and then for all the bad stuff I've gotten taken on over the years. The gilt on it is just fantastic.
