That is the first time I have ever seen that makers mark. Also a very nice grouping.......what is wrong with this young german lad ? SAY NO TO FAT CHICKS !
We have talked about the mystery mark before. Hank was the last to get one to my knowledge prior to this nice grouping.
Thread 139090.
Jeff is right, you need to take some precautions with this badge. Many threads on the forum on how to do this, worth looking them over. Check out the Conservation/Safe Keeping Forum
Thanks to all for compliments and wishes , I have treated with Ballistol yesterday after I scan it ( before the Scan was bad for my scanner ) I hope Ballistol is enough think you better was Vaseline ??? I was very happy to buy the group with that very rare Badge I know the man from that all was it´s absolutley original no Copy .But the experts was not sure with the Marker is that wright ???
The consensus of forum members like Hank that have been around a while and have a lot of experience with Minesweeper badges is that this badge is a good one, but unkown "mystery to use the forum term" badge.
So you are correct. Good badge, very hard to find, but unknown maker.
As part of a grouping, if you can do the research on zinc pest, you have a great bit of history and a substantiated badge with full provenance. Not much more you can ask for there.
I did not see it in Sascha Weber's book, at least I did not see it, but the badge is a good one especially with the nice presentation you have shared with the forum.
Please read Hank's thread on this, he had a bit of luck getting his, so PM him I would advise and ask about it.

Type "LM" into the search function and you will find a lot of helpful threads from the past. This badge and maker was discussed pretty often. No reason to doubt it.
Hi Thomas, very nice grouping , just love the collection of pics. The minesweeper award is an original without doubt . Once again very nice and one to be proud of.
I wish I would have seen your posting earlier! I have a picture of Hugo Schorr that is signed on the reverse!
Unfortunetly I put it up for sale on eBay about five days ago. (# 6633017532) If I would have known you had such a great grouping I would have offered you the photo straight away.
