    E-boat badge 1st pattern Schwerin

    Hello,
    I am new to the forum. I know there are a lot of knowledgable collectors out there and hope to get some help on this piece.
    It has a nice look to it, but the finish is a bit on the yellow gold side and the top hook seems a bit too large. I own this piece and would appreciate some input on it. I'm a big boy so don't worry about being the bearer of bad news, I just would like to know the truth. Sorry for the poor image quality but my scanner is broken so I had to use a digital camera.

            Hi kampfer,

            The badge you have posted is unfortunately a reproduction. The sharp scallop on the reverse, where the concave portion on the lower half of the badge meets the flatter outer edge, is the biggest give-away.
