The collection of the decorations is not my domain of preference, but I have the possibility to buy the badge U-Boot who is annexed to this message. It is about a rare version in tissue, models Bevo. I wish to have your opinion. Beforehand thank you.

Hi,
I once had the same one in my former collection,that was about 25 + years ago,I'd bought it for 7 guilders,that's about $ 3.- now.
I always believed these were good and still do...or there must be a new generation of these....that I don't know.

A similar patch is shown on Gordon Williamson and Jamie Cross' CD-ROM Collectors Guide to U-Boat Insignia under the heading "Reproductions" with the notation:

"The illustration above shows a current production fake "BeVo" woven U-Boat Badge. Easily detectable, it has nylon threads in its construction which melt rather than burn when subjected to heat"
