Destroyer Badge; Opinions requested Please

Hello again to this Forum,

I recently purchased this off the E-stand along with a lot of tinnies and stickpins. I've been wanting a Tombak Scherwin Destroyer Badge for some time but not enough to pay the price. This one was cheap but is sadly in bad condition; it's good enough, however, for my purposes.

Please let me know if you think the badge is original; it surely looks right to me.
