submarine badge with manufactors mistake?

what do you think about this badge,it looks very good when you hold it in your hand,but i do not know other peaces with the mistake on the frontside of the boot[IMG][/IMG]

Not sure exactly what you are referring to, but looks like a good tombak badge to me. Without a better shot of the eagle, not sure, but these could be attributed to Juncker.

Anyway, that is my shot at this badge.

The big piece missing from the bow, not sure what could have caused that on this one. Could just have been a poorly made badge, but I still think it is an authentic badge. John

Strange that while the bow is missing a part , the laurelwreath went on in the bows missing part.
Don't think one would make a medalmould like the one that made this badge.

If none of the detailing of the wreath is found in the "hole" in the bow then I would tend to suggest just a fault in the manufacture.

Other than that looks like an OK badge to me from the photos. If others give the and you can get for a good price/discount I don't think it would worry me to much.

I dont think I would want this one. It does look like the wreath goes into the flaw area and the feather pattern on the eagles chest looks strange as well.
