Hi Skip,
No problem, I decided to look closer at the back of the CA under with a magnification loop, and there is definitely remnants of gold wash specs throughout the back. It is most impossible to see this in the photo. If you are referring to the back top left, that is not a spill mark that is actually what is left of some of the gold wash-again after using a loop I came to this deduction. As far as the front there is actually more gold wash missing than what appears in the photos. The photos make it look like there is more gold wash than what is actually there. Again after looking at it under magnification loop it looks like gold wash rather than paint IMO. I agree it is strange that it is almost all gone on the back as opposed to the front...Cheers...Jeff

Hi Philippe, thanks for your response, my Aux Cruiser is identical to the one you posted in the attached thread except without the L/21 mark. I agree very rare and interesting badge that I almost was going to pass on because I wanted an earlier buntmetal example, glad I did't...Cheers...Jeff
