Hi,
Posted this badge on the collections section and had some negative feedback from two of our members here. I would like to open it up for further comment.

Can I make the following observations:
1. The badge has been in my collection for several years - therefore if it is a fake it is not a 'new' one
2. Correct porthole numbers
3. C-catch as per other 'genuine' schwerin badges
4. Badge has hand finishing
5. Solid hinge side
6. Cut out between wings correct shape

Accept makers marks proud and consistent - not a good sign
Pin shape not classic schwerin

This badge is not 'classi' Schwerin but neither is it classic fake!?

It is not a good one. The eagle is wrong, the catch while a nice attempt is also wrong, along with the pin and of course the wrong lettering.

It might be an updated version of the missing porthole fake but there is still more wrong on this then there is correct.

Hi Russel,

I'm sorry but the mini doesn't look right to me either. The beak of the eagle is a laugh, the windows on the minis I've seen have all been without "borders" and the curls on the pin are not familiar to me. I bet it's a short, stubby pin.
