    HSF & A/C

    Hello.
just wanted to share with all of you my new additions.
I'm curious of a couple of things.
@ HSF. there are some traces of white strike on a covering.
    any opinions are welcomed.
@ A/C. may I call this as Juncker type ? ( set up device )
it seems, most of the gilding has gone. am I right ?
was the Globe a black one ?

    Thanks for looking.
    Good Luck.
    Alex.

    Hi Alex,

    Nice originals both of them.

We indeed refer to the AC as "juncker" and yes the firegilding is gone on that badge. The globe never had a finish.

I'm not sure what your refering to with "White strike on a covering"

      Philippe, Thanks.
I was talking about "white dust" partly covering the surface,
especially in the eagle's area and around the hug.
if, I only can pronounce " Traces of SEA SALT "

      Good Luck.
      Alex.

I´m also not sure what you mean Alex.

Both badges are absolutly authentic and in nice condition.

          I'm confused.
However, it's hard to me to explain, because of my poor English.
          any way, Thanks.
          I'm pleased.

          Good Luck.
          Alex.

            Hi Alex......

......On zinc badges you'll see what I think you are speaking of. It is the residue of zinc-rot, Also called zinc-pest. That is, of course, if your badge is made of zinc.

To treat it you should use white petroleum jelly. Wipe on---leave on for 24 hours---wipe off. Should fix it right up, if that is what the problem is.

            Hope this helps.
