Hi, would like opinions on the submarine badge with packaging.

Cannot comment on the packet but the badge looks bad to me

Hi Lothar,

The packet looks okay aside from that messy pasting job, but as Hubert says the badge is a known reproduction. Aside from the poor detail, soft margins and hardware anomalies, it has the tell-tale horizontal ridges in the laurel leaf above the bow.

Here's another example of this type of fake.

The badge is bad as Hubert and Norm say. But I really like that packet, even with the damage. A very hard packet to find.
