Submarine Badges Schwerin & Junker

Here are some U Boat badges but are they OK?

Top - bronze clasp marked 'Entwurf Peekhaus AUSF Schwerin Berlin 68

Middle
Left - marked 'Schwerin Berlin 68', vertical hinge and pin, gold coloured U
Centre - Imperial badge marked JE Junker Berlin
Right - marked GWL

Bottom - Bronze clasp with swordfish logo, fantasy or 9th U boat Flotilla?

I think the Schwerin, middle left, is OK but not sure about the others.

Hi James,

I don't think you're in for much good news, sorry.

The Bronze U-boat spange appears to be the wrong basemetal with the wrong finish.

The Schwerin U-Boat: wrong basemetal, maker mark and hardware

The Imperial U-boat: a very unusual reverse profile and hardware that is imo not period (pre-45)

The GWL U-boat stands a chance but better pics are required as there are some good fakes and the finish is a bit strange to me.

The Small Battle Units badge is imo a fake with non-period basemetal and finish and hardware commonly found on cheap cast fakes.

Thanks Mike,

They have been offered to me as genuine with the usual "my father brought these back...." story. I was clearly wrong about the Schwerin, middle left, but had my doubts about the others.

I agree with Mike.
Only GWL zincer has a chance to be refinished original but better images are required.
