Eboat Badge 1st pattern for review

Hi Guys,

This Eboat badge 1st pattern puzzles me...it came with a grouping many years ago.

I am looking at the lettering and notice that it looks different from others I have seen, but could this alo be due to the fact that the lettering is worn off just like the total back of the badge? I notice the hook at the top stands slightly higher then with other one's.

Hi Mel,

I can only agree with Hubert. I think this may be an artificially aged Cave Creek Special.

The sharp recess of the boat which extends into the wreath above the hinge is a classic highly visible giveaway for this fake. There are many others tells compared to an original.
