A few questions: What is the diff between HJ and DJ? This appears to be a woolen OS cap, with a rune insignia. Is this insignia on a round patch, like the HJ sleeve insignia?

I am sure this is an over-simplification, but I would compare the DJ with the US Cub Scouts and the HJ with the Boy Scouts (but with all the obvious overtones that the 3rd Reich used these organizations for).

Here is my "transitional" DJ to HJ shirt. First shot is the HJ armband. Second shot is underneath the Armband. The Armband was only partially sewn on. You can see the smaller round DJ patch. Hope this helps. Take care.
