      Hi Norge,

This seems strange to me that the swastika would be sewn through the red body. I would expect it to be sewn to the white square and then the square sewn to the body. I can't say if it's good or bad but if it was mine I'd have doubts about it.

I agree with Tim. I personally never saw that style of construction before. Glenn

Hi Guys, I have never studied these armbands in any great detail and while I can see the argument that Tim is using about the way it is made, personally I think the item is fine. The colour and quaility looks consistant with period armbands. Given the amount of these made there have to be slight makers variations in overall construction. I only have a woven example in my collection.

I will quote the official measurements in case this is helpful:

          Total width of armband: 105mm
Width of each red bar: 40mm
Width of each white bar: 25mm
          Square white field: 70x70mm
          Height of swastika: 60mm
          Width of swastika arms: 12mm

          Cheers, Ade.

I agree with Ade. that the materials seem right. It's probably ok, just not text-book. I guess like a lot of things it's up to the owner to decide if they like it.

see Norge. thats why this forum is great. people like Adrian submit actual references to plead their case. good going Adrian. but personally, even if it is real, I would go for a better quality armband for a bit more cash. but to each His own, as long as its an original. thats all that counts. Glenn
