    Early Jungvolk Flag . DJ Stamm Fahne , " Hunsrück " .

I was fortunate to obtain a super Jungvolk Stamm fahne .
This one has the name of the city below the Sigrune and the Gebiet and Bann numbers on the top left side . It looks like some of the numbers were removed then re-chainstitched with a newer number .
The opposite side has a fantastic sewn motif of a campfire with "Stamm"above and again with the city name of "Hunsrück " below .

Note : Anyone who wants to post photos of this flag on ANY other forum .... HJ Research , GDC , Warrelics forum etc . PM me and ask permission first .

          Hello Joe B:
Nice flag, congratulations. Wondering what Giorgio
Spadaro sold you the flag for? My estimate to him was
          a
couple thousand dollars at least. Was I right in value?

            Hi OFW

This flag is huge , it is actually bigger than my Bannfahne , My Bannfahne is aprox 70 in X 55 1/2 inches , and this early Jungvolk Stammfahne is aprox 75 in X 68 inches .

I would rather not say what I got it for other than I traded it for a nice item and we are both happy .

                    Hello,

This flag is not the flag of the Stamm (Batallion) "Hunsrück" but the flag of 5.Fähnlein (Company) of this Stamm / Jungbann 28 (Regiment 28)...

Or, 5. Jungzug (Platoon) of Fähnlein III / Jungbann 28. The missing intermediate level (Bataillon) is in this case, given on the other side. (?)

                    Best regards

If you look closley at the numbers , they were picked out at some point and re-chainstitched . The Flag is 100% period .

Debertex , This photo might help whith what the original numbers were before it was re numbered .

I never said that this wonderfull flag is not original !!!

I said that it was the flag of a Fähnlein (or a Jungzug) and not of a Stamm. How else do you explain the number 5 ?

... and yes, it seems that the flag was re numbered. Perhaps, before his current allocation, it was a Stamm flag (?) I can't read the former numbers.

                          Best regards
