Ron, what has this Feldafing to do in this HJ-forum?
This Oberschule was merely related to the SA. The Oberste SA-Führung created it
and so it should belong into a thread about SA. Later it became the Reichsschule
der NSDAP and so it was a political institution. Into the war its teachers were from
    the SA.

One can differ from opinion, but strictly it is not HJ. One should note Hitler tolerated
the special political status of the "NS-Oberschule".

      Wim,
I HATE to disagree with you, but All students of these institutions ARE members of the HJ by 1936 Reichs Youth Laws, hence this applies here.

        Mr Saris
You are correct sir , this is not strictly Hitlerjugend , however ; it is period youth related and I will allow it on this sub forum within WAF .
I dont have a problem with Ron or anyone posting 3rd Reich related "Youth" items on this platform .

Ron, sorry, but you have no idea. You would know better when reading their yearbooks.
Have you ever noticed their uniforms and insignia? In later years occasionally the HJ
armband was used, but before it was regular political.
And yes, the youth were members of the HJ, but this does not mean the school was HJ.

Joe B: this is what I expected you would say. I can read your thoughts. Create other
          forums for other purposes.

          For Ron:
          Feldafing:
Here a part of a global text planned for a future book, which was never published (left out the footnotes).

A new élite schoolform, a boarding-school with a special political status, was "opened" April 23, 1934 at Feldafing near the Bavarian Starn¬berg-lake, known as the "NS. Oberschule Starnber¬gersee" (NS.German Secondary-School, further largely referred as as "NS-Oberschule"), attended by the "Oberste SA-Führung" (SA High Command), as well as the "Reichswehr. The idea for a school for "Soldaten der Idee und Führer" (roughly to be translated as "Soldiers for the ideology and for NSDAP leadership") came from the SA Chief-of-Staff Ernst Röhm, when he had visited the NPEA-institution at Plön. Just before his dead Röhm visited the school at Feldafing. -*-
The "NS-Oberschule" was located at more than fourty villas (most of them confiscated from jews). It was in fact a SA "privat"-school, a junior college which trained younger men for a future SA leadership mainly. The students were phrased as "Jungmannen" and simultaneously they were SA-members, as were also the teachers, supervisors and staff. In the earliest stage the students were by the public phrased as "SA-Kadetten" (SA-Cadets). The "NS-Oberschule" was lead by an "Oberstleut¬nant a.D.", Julius Goerlitz, who shortly before was promoted as "SA-Standartenführer". He was assisted by SA-Sturmführer Hans Simons who was the school's educational leader. Since 1935 the Feldafing-school was phrased as "NS.Deutsche Oberschule Starnbergersee". -*-
With a February 1, 1936 order by Hitler's deputy Rudolf Hess, the "NS-Oberschule" was subordinated to him. The special political status remained, but from now on it was a party and NSLB institution, largely financed by the NSDAP ("Reichsschatzmeister" Schwarz). Hess assigned Gauleiter, "Hauptamtsleiter" Fritz Wächtler, who was the NSDAP "Sachbearbeiter für Schulfragen" (Functionay for Schoolmatters) as the highest supervisor. Goerlitz remained schoolleader. With a Hess-order dated August 8, 1939 the school was renamed as "Reichsschule der NSDAP". At that moment this "höhere Schule", a sort of high-school, had approximately 355 students and 35 teachers. -*-
During the years 1934 thru 1939 the school was officially kept out of the series of NPEA-institutions in spite of the fact it was often noted as one in statistics from the "Reichsstelle für Schulwesen". Neither was the school influenced by the HJ-organization. But in 1941 accession to the HJ was inevitable. The students formed a "HJ-Stamm". In 1943 the "Parteikanzlei" ordered boys from the classes 6 and 7 to be "Luftwaffenhelfer". Till 1944 eleven high-school graduate classes left the school. Its faith at the end of the war is unclear, but it was evacuated, it's teachers and staff were internmented.

Mr Saris ... for your information sir , I did not "create" this sub-forum and do not plan to create other forums within WAF . Third Reich youth and its related organizations are of a historical passion to me . If you would like to create other forums within WAF , please feel free to contact WAF admin .

If I would have been 20-25 years younger, I would have done this probably, but I am getting to old and am in the stage of phasing out!
Youth should take over, is my opinion!
Some years ago (about 2010) I already decided to stop, but my friend Roger Bender convinced me of continueing, as we had too much
fun with the TR-subject! For Roger I did this then!
