Beauty...Is this an early production ? Or special presentation ? Perhaps the best I have seen.

As far as I know nothing special.

I asked Paul Hogle about production time and he said 1938.

It comes with a story which I can possibly believe.

Seller was son of a man who supplied various good during the war to the German Government.

Long story short he had leftovers. The son supposedly has a basement full of odds and end like this HJ Knife.

No reason to disbelieve the dealer as he is a member here and always has great items.

Cool. I see the RZM stamp, but where is the maker's mark? Does this run of knives have them? I ask because mine has E.P.&S. Solingen GES.GESCH with an imprint of a blacksmith swinging a hammer.

As far as I know the rzm stamp is the makers mark. You would have to look it up to determine who that is. I knew at one time and that it is a rare maker.

RZM M7/60 was the code of Gustav L. Köller, a fairly rare maker, most have the ricasso stamped mark.

                      Best regards,
