A.G.M.u.K. CCC in Bronze

I would very much appreciate your time and assistance. I have been trawling through the Close Combat Clasp threads and have endeavored to find out as much information about this piece, purchased from WaF e-stand recently. I like to keep a card on each piece with a detailed description.

Absolutely ready to be shot down in flames and above all learn…..

My conclusions:
It is an original A.G.M.u.K. Clasp in bronze, with the majority of the bronze finish remaining. It is a first patten large font, with four deep crimps (The deep crimping has bent the blue backing plate, which is quite normal). The blue backing plate is a tight fit and has not been replaced. The manufacturers mark is the variant and not the more commonly found mark. The pin and catch appear to be original and have not been repaired/replaced.

Is there any other information that I can add to this description ie type of pin, catch etc?

Hi Allan,

Gorgeous original clasp in typical nicely preserved condition. As you correctly researched it is a Large Font AGMuK clasp with less common fluted pin (transitional to the later-war variants with the raised tabs for the backplate).

Nice example, just a little bit of zinkpest which can be treated with a little wipedown with vaseline.
