Heavy Würster PAB in tombak for review.

    Hi guys,

My first addition of 2020. I already have a few in my collection but each time i see a nice example i'm always tempted to buy it. So is the case with this example. A fine heavy Würster pab that is in a beautiful worn condition. The quality of these pieces is absolutely outstanding with a great design. When speaking of price/quality these Würsters are the best on the market. Luckily they are quite common, imagine these were very rare, they would command absolute premium prices… simply because they are worth it!

The massive tombac Wursters are impressive badges. Nice score.

        Hi Jelle,

Gorgeous addition my friend, lovely patina on a hard to find solid-brass Wurster. Beauty! Way to start 2020!

Thanks Tony. Glad at least somebody likes my terrace table.
In fact it is in terrible condition with the frames rusty like hell and the wood in poor shape after standing years in the belgian weather.
Many visitors ask me when i’m finally going to replace it. Do they know it’s my background for photographing sinister nazi relics, no way i will part with my beloved table

Interesting. This is the badge on the basis of which Staegemeir made his copies.

The badge i posted in this thread is indeed the one that stood model
for the heavy würster fake made by Carsten Staegmeir.
A good victim as it has a crisp detail overall.
