I have found the APB to be one of the hardest badge to say real or fake. This particular badge looks to have very few known clues. One thing that jumped out to me as a possible red flag is the color of the pin. It looks to me as new, just made. Now that can be to cleaning or maybe the camera.

As a certain Mr Scapini has stated there is an extensive book on the subject...everything is there for your delectation!

        Anti partisan badge

as a new collector I have a few questions that I don't understand. first, is a solid or hollow back ,or semi hollow back correct? second is a flat, banjo or round pin OK? if so witch one? third how many holes are correct, 1,2,3, none.? and were they only issued to the SS, or all GERMAN combat units fighting the BANDITS / PARTISANS.? I saw one at the S.O.S. show that looked to have been semi hollow and mold cast, 3 holes, round pin? sorry for all of the questions but it is how that we learn from you collectors that have gone be fore us. and it could save us a huge amount of $. thanking you far any and all reply's.

As I understand it solid examples were most likely post-war produced.
Number of holes varies - not a sign of originality or not.
Issued to all German personnel involved in Bandenkampf (Polizei, Heer, Luftwaffe and others) and meeting the conditions stated for the badge.

Others will follow up on this I am sure.

kaiserwilhelm, thank you for the help that you extended to me. I will keep it and add to other comments that other collectors come forth and add to my question.
