If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

            Hello,
Just a quick question as I don't have the IAB book. I just bought this IAB and it looks even nicer in hand than in the photos. I believe it is zinc, but just wanted to see what others think as I could be wrong. I tried to do a search but couldn't see if FCL made these in tombak or not. It is a gray on the high points of the wreath, but it's not as flat a gray as I often see with zinc. So what's the verdict?
            Thank you,
            Dale

A nice Zincer, FCL only produced IABs in Zinc.

                  Hi Dale,

I had the same thought at first, could be nickel silver and almost bought it myself for that reason. But the more I looked at it, the more I thought I could see grey zink popping through the worn highlights, in partcular the balls at the bottom of the wreath look to be zink base metail.

Nice addition, post some new pics when you get a chance, would love to see this beauty in more detail!
