Hi guys,
While perusing a few dealer sites this morning, I ran across this well made fake of an AGMuK Close Combat Clasp. Its trying to be a Large Font AGMuK clasp Type 1.1 in the CCC book, but a few red flags can be see. Firstly is the weird shape to the catch, not someting we see on originals. Also notice its not crimped in like its supposed to be, but rather neatly soldered in to make it look crimped.
Also notice the pin, looks to be a fluted pin like we see on originals, however it doesn't bend around the hingepin like originals. Rather, it is soldered to a separate barrel like solid pins! So its a weird hybrid pin you would never find on original CCCs.
Paying close attention to little details like this will save you $750 hard earned dollars not getting burned by a fake like this.
