    Opinions Please

Okay, I'm going to give these badges away to someone. Before I do are they original? I don't want to give them junk.

I believe the General Assault is original...despite the broken catch courtesy of Royal Mail. The Panzer one I was told was a fake. Jury out on the Infantry Assault.

I can do better picture\close ups if needed.

Gary wow what a gesture! They all appear original to me. The PAB is a rare wide pin Wernstein variant and is certainly worth some $.

Gary, the IAB looks original to me. Similiar to those often attributed to Duemer I think. But, lets wait for the big guns to see if I'm on point.

                  Dear Gary,

All three are originals. PAB is quite rare.
                  Cheers, Frank

Frank, Greg ,Patrick. Thanks for that. A few years ago when I was looking to sell them I was told (via a US collector and also a US dealer - GDM - I believe) that the Panzer Assault Badge was a certain fake.

They said the give away was the pitting as a result of poor casting. Wasn't convinced myself so I didn't throw it - just shows you there are people out there who think they know what they are talking about.

                    Thanks again,
                    Gary.

                      Dear Gary,

In this case, the pitting stems from corrosion of the zinc.
                      Cheers, Frank
