Hi everyone!
This badge is in a group of misc badges I'm reviewing for purchase from an estate. I referenced the Maerz / Scapini APB book and I have to say there are some striking similarities to the Type 2.1. I dismissed it at first, but when looking closely at the details of the cut, the imperfections (flaws), and especially the details of the mold (ridges) on the reverse, I'm not wondering if this may be the real deal. I own several APBs myself, including some fairly rare and minty ones, so I want to make sure this gets a fair shake.
I'm attaching two photos below for review - one of each side. Please comment only if you're experienced with these, I don't want this badge to be shot down and dismissed based only on things like, "it looks too new so it must be a fake." Such a potentially rare piece deserves an honest and thorough review and feedback from experienced APB collectors.
Thanks!
