    Heer Paratrooper Badge Help

    Hello to all,
I know absolutely nothing about Heer Parartooper Badges, so I would appreciate some opinions on this badge. This looks like a zinc eagle and a zinc wreath. With the bubbling and flaking finish on this badge, it has a believable look to it. I'm thinking that it could be real, but I really have no idea. The diving eagle is nicely detailed. Thanks in advance for any assistance.
    Best regards! Tom

        Tom,

Just off hand, I'd say that Heer 43 para looks like the real deal. I'll post my example on your thread and then compare. The bubbling finish looks very convincing. The catch on a plate, the pin, the hinge.... all look characteristic of the Juncker hardware for that badge. Rivets - the correct style. The beard on the national eagle is present. The angle of the diving eagle is correct. The obverse finish and die strike are spot on.

        Congrats to the lucky owner

I agree with Mark, this is what I learned how an original zinc badge by Juncker should look like.
          Cheers, Frank

            Tom,

Only thing I might see, in your 3/4 image, is possibly a repair to the spot where the pin is soldered to the hinge barrel. I'm not 100% sure. Even if so, not at all distracting.

Who can comment about a very small die flaw found on the center talon of these badges? Thanks S Short

Nice badge Tom. The only Heer badge that I am missing.
